Not approached for Housefull 4, clarifies Parineeti Chopra

Actress Parineeti Chopra has denied being approached for Sajid Khan’s Housefull 4. A leading publication carried an unconfirmed report about the actress being in the run for being cast as the leading lady in the fourth franchise of the film. 

However, Chopra has slammed the report and denied being approached for the film. “Today’s story in the DNA is ABSOLUTELY FALSE!!! I have not been approached for the film. Please dont make up stories @dnaAfterHrs !!!” she angrily wrote on her official Twitter page. 

The report also mentioned that Sonakshi Sinha’s mother Poonam Sinha has been calling the producer and director urging them to cast her daughter opposite Akshay Kumar in the film. 

An official statement from the producers of Housefull 4 said that the cast of all three previous Housefull films will be a part of the fourth movie. “While an announcement on the official cast has been awaited, the cast of all the three films might come together for this colossal project,” said the statement. 

The makers have also revealed that Housefull 4 will be India’s first comedy film based on the theme of reincarnation. They also said that a part of the film will be based in ‘Baahubali like era’ and the VFX budget of the film will be around Rs75 crore. 

The film will be released during Diwali 2019.
