Aiyaary may have tanked at the box office but Sidharth Malhotra is not short of offers. His next is a biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, one of the soldiers killed in the Kargil conflict of 1999.
There were also rumours of Malhotra signing director Anees Bazmee's next project. However, Bazmee has now denied offering any film to Malhotra.
Bazmee told Cinestaan, com, “No, I’m not doing any film with Sidharth Malhotra. He is a friend. I have many actor friends, we keep meeting each other for dinner, but that doesn’t mean that every time we discuss a project. I had a casual meeting with Sidharth."
Malhotra had told a daily that he had two films up his sleeve, first being the Capt Vikram Batra biopic and the other a remake of Kannada film Kirik Party (2016).
"I am definitely doing Vikram Batra’s biopic this year and I am also doing a college film, which is yet to be titled,” Malhotra told The Asian Age.
Bazmee last directed Mubarakan (2017). The director refused to say what script he is working on next. Last year, Bazmee had announced that he had readied the script for No Entry Mein Entry, a sequel to his 2005 hit No Entry, but nothing happened thereafter as Salman Khan went on to sign other films.
