That president Donald Trump is a controversial figure not just in the United States but worldwide is no secret. Even in India he has his share of critics.
Now, actress Sonam Kapoor has lashed out at the developer turned politician calling him an imbecile after reports that the US administration would allow animal trophies into the country.
The move was reported by the portal of the National Public Radio, America. Kapoor also came across an Instagram post of The Ellen Show [hosted by Ellen DeGeneres] that was critical of the controversial lifting of the ban on import of animal trophies.
Shocked by the news, Kapoor took to Twitter to wade into Trump and make a direct verbal attack on him.
“Hunting is illegal in india, one of things the world can learn from us! Trump is an imbecile,” the Neerja (2016) actress tweeted.

Sonam, veteran actor Anil Kapoor's daughter, is a die-hard critic of any form of cruelty to animals. In the past she has raised her voice against the use of glass-coated manja (thread used to fly kites). The manja is a threat to birds and many are maimed or even killed when they get entangled in it.
In 2014, Kapoor donated clothing and accessories to a website raising funds for the US-based NGO In Defense of Animals.
