Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, the song is a folk number composed by Sandesh Shandilya.

Director Sudhir Mishra's Daas Dev seems to be entangled in the game of musical chairs for dates. However, the songs from the film seem to be coming through well enough. The latest song is a folksy number that builds the intrigue around the politics, love and violence of Mishra's reversal of the Devdas iconography.

'Challa Chaap Chunariya' features the trio of Dev (Rahul Bhat), Paro (Richa Chadha) and Chandramukhi (Aditi Rao Hydari) at a wedding. The song captures the conflict between the two women for Dev's attention. While Paro struggles to keep Dev's attention, it is Chandramukhi who eventually loses out, despite her charms.

Even as the romantic intrigue deepens, there is also a political chess game unfolding in the background. Saurabh Shukla, Dalip Tahil and Vipin Sharma play the powerhouses showing off their strength at the local wedding.

The song itself is a folksy number that captures the raunchy, celebratory nature of weddings. Rekha Bhardwaj lends a sultry tone to the entire composition. Shandilya's composition balance a techno-funk rhythm with a very local flavour. The lyrics by Deepak Ramola are another plus point of the song.

Daas Dev will be released on 23 March.
