Emraan Hashmi who is a private person, seldom shares any details about his family. The actor, though, couldn’t help but share his joy after he came across an old picture of his late grandmother, actress Purnima.
What makes this a memorable picture is not just Purnima, but also Nargis, Shammi, Nirupa Roy and Neelam. All the actresses hail from the golden era of Indian cinema. The ladies had gathered for the Holi celebrations at the famous RK Studios in Chembur sometime in the 1950s.
Purnima had acted in few films like IP Tiwari's Manager (1947) and Kidar Sharma's Thes (1949) with Bharat Bhushan and Shashikala.
