The makers of Salman Society have revealed the cast of the film. Directed by Kailash Pawar, the film will star child artistes Pushkar Lonarkar, Gaurav More, Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar.
Salman Society will revolve around the issue of child education and goes with the tagline — ‘Padhega India to badhega India' — meaning, an educated India is a progressive India.
Pushkar Lonarkar earlier displayed his talent in films like Elizabeth Ekadashi (2014), Baji (2015) and Chi Va Chi Sau Ka (2017). Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar were seen in Half Ticket (2016), More also acted in Faster Fene (2017) and Raees (2017). Gaurav More, on the other hand, has appeared in Marathi television serials.
Produced by Chandrakant Pawar and Rekha Surendra Jagtap, Salman Society is Kailash’s first film as a director.
While the reason for keeping such a quirky title has not been revealed yet, this might become clear when the teaser or the trailer is released.
As per an official statement from the makers, Salman Society will go on floors soon and will be shot entirely in Mumbai. The film is expected to hit the screens in December this year.
Along with the announcement of the cast, the makers have also released the first poster of the film - a simple picture that has all the four kids. Looks like they are friends who either stay in or form a Salman society.
