The music of Raja Chanda’s upcoming film Sultan: The Saviour was launched on Tuesday (5 June) at the Park Hotel in Kolkata, in the presence of the director, cast members Jeet, Bidya Sinha Mim, Priyanka Sarkar and composers Suddho Roy and Savvy Gupta.

The makers had a surprise in store at the music launch. They presented a new song 'Eid Mubarak', sung by none other than the film's male lead Jeet himself. Penned by Pranjol and composed by Roy, the song celebrates the auspicious festival amidst dance and frolic.

“For a long time Suddhoda was willing to compose a song for me. I am really grateful for the opportunity to lend my voice for a song that is dedicated to such an auspicious occasion,” Jeet said.

“Composing the song was a memorable incident. I remember we went straight out of shooting and composed the song sitting by the river," recalled Roy.

The other two songs from the film, 'Masha Allah' and 'Amar Mon', have been composed by Savvy Gupta. While 'Masha Allah' has been penned by the director himself, Priyo Chatterjee has written the lyrics of 'Amar Mon'.

Talking about his character in the film, Jeet said, “My character has two or three layers and so nailing those shades was a challenge.”

While actress Priyanka Sarkar expressed joy on being part of the film, Mim said, “It was my mother’s wish to see me working with Jeet. Now when she is able to see me dancing and sharing screen space with him, I think I have made her dream come true!”
