Ayan Mukerji's last film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), just completed five years of release on 31 May 2018. His fans have had a long wait to see Mukerji's next film, as Brahmastra is not due to be released until 15 August 2019. The fantasy film's second schedule kicked off today in Mumbai and the film's cast, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt shared some photographs of them with Mukerji and lead actor Ranbir Kapoor prepping for the film.

The veteran actor is seen in a kitchen with the two young stars and the director. Given the grand kitchen assembled for the film, it is possible the veteran actor will be seen playing a chef. Brahmastra is said to be one of Dharma Productions's most expensive project.

The first schedule of the superhero trilogy was filmed earlier this year in March in Bulgaria. Kapoor and Bhatt were part of the first schedule, while Bachchan was not. Just yesterday (5 June), rumoured couple Kapoor and Bhatt were seen leaving Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai in preparation for the shoot.
Bhatt also shared a photograph of her with Mukerji and Kapoor with their eco-friendly water bottles on World Environment Day. While Bhatt and Kapoor are holding bottles with their names on it, Mukerji shows off one with 'Brahmastra' written on it. Could this possibly be a preview of the film's final font?

Produced by Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra, Brahmastra is the first of a trilogy.
