After the political drama of Mere Pyaare Prime Minister, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has reunited with his Rang De Basanti (2006) writer, Rensil D'Silva for a comedy. The director's next, yet untitled project, will be a humorous take on generational conflicts in a family, and will go on the floors by year end.
Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted the director as saying, "There has been a paradigm shift in the world in the last 15 years, especially with the present generation. The film is my salute to them."
Mehra has just wrapped up the schedule for Mere Pyaare Prime Minister, starring Anjali Patil. The film revolves around an eight-year -old boy's dream of installing toilets in his slum for his single mother.
While there has been no news of the cast for the new project yet, there were several rumours about Ranveer Singh collaborating with the director. However, as per the report, Mehra is still in the process of auditioning people for the roles.
The Bhaag Milkha Bhag (2013) director was quoted as saying, "The choices you have to make in life in this age are very different. And we’re going to explore that."
