Jyotika begins shooting for Tumhari Sulu's Tamil remake Kaatrin Mozhi


Sources close to the unit of Kaatrin Mozhi say the Tamil version will have minor changes for it to fit in the south Indian milieu.

Director Radha Mohan’s next film Kaatrin Mozhi, a Tamil remake of the super hit Hindi film Tumhari Sulu, went on floors yesterday (4 June).

The film has raised a lot of interest as it will see Jyotika working with Radha Mohan again. The two last worked on Mozhi in 2007. 

Sources close to the unit of Kaatrin Mozhi say that the Tamil version of the film will have minor changes to fit in the south Indian milieu. The film will be produced by G Dhananjayan, S Vikram Kumar and Lalitha Dhananjayan under BOFTA Mediaworks India Pvt. Ltd. 

"The shooting commenced with a pooja held in the presence of cast and crew. Actor Sivakumar, father-in-law of actress Jyothika, graced the occasion of the movie launch," informed the source.

Kaatrin Mozhi will be shot in a single 50-day schedule in Chennai. Apart from Jyotika, the film will also feature Vidarth, Lakshmi Manchu, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Kumaravel, Mohan Raman, Uma Padmanabhan and Seema Taneja in key roles.

The music of the film will be composed by AR Rahman's nephew AH Kaashif, while the lyrics will be written by Madhan Karky. National Award-winning editor KL Praveen has been roped in for the project and the cinematography will be handled by Mahesh Muthuswami.

The film is expected to be released in October this year.
