Armaan Kohli's girlfriend Neeru Randhawa accuses him of physical abuse

Forlorn actor Armaan Kolhi has courted trouble again after he allegedly assaulted his non-resident Indian girlfriend Neeru Randhawa at his Juhu residence on 3 June.

The duo have been in a live-in relationship for over three years. Confirming the incident, Randhawa said, "The assault happened last night. I have been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital and they will release me tomorrow."

Randhawa did not speak much about the incident, but a source said she tried to run away when Kohli started beating her, but fell down the stairs in the bargain and suffered a nasty injury to her forehead.

Randhawa said she has filed a police complaint. "I have been staying with Kohli for the last three and a half years," she said. "He tried to kill me. He knows it is an attempt to murder case, non-bailable, so he ran away from the house."

Asked if such incidents took place regularly, Randhawa replied, "Armaan is an angry person. He shouts and abuses. In the past, he has hit me. I have complained to the police. I have tried running away, tried to leave him, but he would keep coming back saying you make me a better person. But this would just keep going round in circles. Even this morning, he messaged me saying let’s get married in two days, after he nearly tried to kill me!” 

Randhawa, a fashion designer, also claimed that Kohli abuses alcohol and drugs. Armaan Kohli could not be contacted for his version.

Though he is the only son of noted filmmaker Raj Kumar Kohli and yesteryear actress Nishi, Armaan Kohli has struggled to get his career going. In the past he has been accused of beating up his then girlfriend, actress Ayesha Jhukla.

Kohli has battled depression and courted controversy when he returned to the limelight with season 7 of the reality show Bigg Boss. He was arrested by the Lonavala police after he allegedly assaulted fellow contestant and actress Sofia Hayat.

Randhawa and Kohli got acquainted and became close during the making of Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).
