Actor Vicky Kaushal is making all the right moves to establish himself as one of the most versatile actors of the current generation in the Hindi film industry.
After his acclaimed performance in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, the actor has now signed up for his first horror film with Karan Johar's next production. The film will be directed by Shashank Khaitan's former assistant director, Bhanu Pratap Singh.
As report by Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted a source as saying, "It’s a horror film, a genre Vicky has never attempted before. The film will also be the launchpad for Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan’s assistant Bhanu Pratap Singh who has worked with him on Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film goes on floors later this year in Mumbai."
Singh has previously worked as an assistant for Khaitan on films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Singh also assisted Mozez Singh on Zubaan (2016), which had Kaushal in the lead.
The actor is currently prepping for the film on Uri attacks, which will have him play a para commando in the special forces. The film is set to go on floors later in August, and will be released in December. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film will also star actress Yami Gautam.
