Prernaa Arora has had a tough year with the KriArj Entertainment founder involved in plenty of financial disputes with her co-producers. The lady has found herself embroiled in a controversy again, after Filmfare.com reported that Anushka Sharma has filed a case against Arora over unpaid dues pertaining to the film Pari (2018)
According to the Filmfare report, Arora allegedly has not paid the last installment of Sharma’s dues for the film.
When contacted, Arora was quick to dismiss this as a lie. “It’s fake,” said Arora confidently. The producer refused to comment any further and asked us to check with Anushka Sharma.
A spokesperson from Anushka Sharma’s production house, Clean Slate Films, too dismissed the rumour. “There is no truth in it,” said the Clean Slate Films spokesperson.
The supernatural thriller Pari had released in March this year.
Financial disputes with co-producers had seen Arora lose out on projects like Parmanu – The Stroy of Pokhran (2018). Kedarnath, Fanney Khan and Batti Gul Meter. Recently, T-Series and Arora patched up and she was back on board as a producer, although the producer credits in Fanney Khan do carry the name of her parents.
Fanney Khan is set to be released on 3 August.
