Megha Akash plays Rajinikanth's daughter-in-law in Karthik Subbaraj's next

The film also has Vijay Sethupathi, Simran and Bobby Simhaa, among others and is being produced by Sun Pictures.

Actress Megha Akash has become a big hit in Tamil even before the release of her first film here.

The actress, who is at present working on a number of big projects in Tamil, including the Gautham Menon film Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta, Boomerang and Balaji Tharaneetharan's Oru Pakka Kadhai, has also been roped to work in Rajinikanth's next film that is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Sources close to the unit of the film say that the actress has been signed to play Rajinikanth's daughter-in-law in the film.

The director, who has already made it clear the film will have nothing to do with politics, had said earlier that it would be a light-hearted entertainer. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi, Simran and Bobby Simhaa, among others and is being produced by Sun Pictures.

Says another source close to the Boomerang team, of which Megha is a part. "It was very clear to us that it would take us a minimum of 90 days to make Boomerang. That is because the film is being made in four languages and we could shoot only two scenes per day. However, thanks to the co-operation extended by Megha Akash, Atharvaa and Indhuja, all of whom play the lead, we were able to finish shooting the film in just 45 days."
