'Kichu Kichu Kotha', the first song from Arindam Bhattacharya’s Flat No. 609 was launched online by Amra Muzik yesterday. Composed by Ratul Shankar, the song has been sung by National Award-winning vocalist Iman Chakraborty.
Flat No. 609 stars Abir Chatterjee, Tanushree Chakraborty, Mamata Shankar, Soumitra Chatterjee, Pujarini Ghosh and Rudranil Ghosh. In the first half of the song, Abir and Tanushree, the supposed couple in the film, romance and enjoy marital bliss. However, gradually a rift seems to emerge between them that not only affects the couple, but also takes the elderly couple (Mamata and Soumitra) to an untoward juncture of life.
Penned by Ambarish Dabbu Majumdar, the words of the song speak of selfless surrender to the beloved. The lover cannot express enough of her feelings; sometimes she drowns in nostalgia and the other times, words seem to fail her.
Ratul has infused much melody to the song and Iman has done justice to it. She has brought out an underlying pathos of the romantic number well.
Flat 609 is a horror film that will bring together Abir and Tanushree as an on-screen pair for the first time. In the film, Abir and Tanushree look for an apartment on rent. The broker shows them various properties around the city but is also eager to close the deal as soon as possible. Eventually when they select a flat in a posh area and begin their stay there, they come across inexplicable activities in their neighbourhood.
