Midya’s Andarkahini has earned rave reviews for its socially relevant content. Also, Priyanka Sarkar, who has enacted all the four women protagonists, has also been awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Best Actress Award at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival. Andarkahini portrays the relationship of four women with their father, brother, husband and friend, respectively and their daily struggles at gaining respect in these bonds.
The Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is an initiative by the Jagran Prakashan Ltd. The film festival also organises discussions between the audience and the cast and crew of few of the selected films at the festival. JFF also ensures that these discussions contribute to the platform of Indian cinema at large.
