Actress Mehreen Pirzada has come in for praise from the crew of her upcoming Tamil film Nota (2018) and her fans, after she braved the harassment she was subjected to by a drunk person on a train.
Sources in the industry say that Pirzada, who plays the lead in the Vijay Devarakonda-starrer Nota, left for Chennai from Hyderabad for a schedule of her Tamil film. However, as she was unable to get flight tickets at the last minute, the actress decided to take a train.
"When the actress boarded the train, she found that her seat had been occupied by a person who was drunk. Scared for her safety, the actress is believed to have travelled standing for a long time. However, after a while, she called up Chakravarthy Reddy, the director of her upcoming Telugu film, Pantham, and explained the situation she was in. The director then sent a car with some of her fans to her rescue. The fans picked up Mehreen from the train and escorted her safely to the sets of her Tamil film in Chennai," the source said.
Pirzada has delivered hit films in Telugu including the superhit Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Kadha (2016).
