Sonam Kapoor's shy sunny smile lights up first poster of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

Post the success with Veere Di Wedding (2018), Sonam K Ahuja is on a high. That shows in the first poster of her upcoming film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The poster captures a sweet looking Sonam glowing in a sunny smile. 

The poster comes an hour before the teaser for the film which will also be released today. 

Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, the film will mark the first time Sonam will team up with father, Anil Kapoor. Anil has another connection to the film by the way of its title. 

The title is borrowed from one of Anil's hit chartbuster 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh' from 1942 A Love Story (1994). The film is also produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films. Chopra was the director of 1942 A Love Story, which was music composer RD Burman's last film. 

Sonam is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film, marking another first in her career. The film also bears the tagline — a simple/siyapa love story — implying that it is a romantic drama that will carry some twists in its tail. 

The cast began shooting for the film in February this year, with Sonam even posting pictures of her first day on set with her father. The film will also star Juhi Chawla in a pivotal role.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will be released on 12 October this year.
