Indian regional cinema is known to effectively portray different human relationships, within and outside the family. In a unique subject, Pushpak Vimaan explores the bond between a grandfather and his grandson. Another film that has previously explored this bond is National Award-winning, Shwaas (2004), which was also India's official entry to the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language category that year.

The simple teaser of Zee Studios’ Pushpak Vimaan wins your heart. It shows the backs of Subodh Bhave and Mohan Joshi, as grandson and grandfather respectively, sitting at Marine Drive in Mumbai. Joshi explains to Bhave about the special friendly bond between grandfather and grandson.

The song playing in the background contributes greatly to making the teaser attractive.

It's not clear why the film is titled Pushpak Vimaan. The teaser does show a plane flying in the distance. Could it mean that the characters' fate is tied to aeroplanes? We'll have to wait and watch for that.

The term ‘Pushpak Vimaan’ is famous for being mentioned in the Ramayana. It was the prized flying object of Ravana. It is mentioned that he had kidnapped Sita, wife of Rama, in it.

Pushpak Vimaan is the directorial debut of Vaibhav Chinchalkar.
