The makers of Sanju (2018) have unveiled a new promo that appears as though director Rajkumar Hirani has used actor Sanjay Dutt's voice in a scene. Actor Ranbir Kapoor plays Dutt in the biopic.
The scene is a film scene within the film. It is a scene from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) when Munna Bhai (Dutt) asks Dr Asthana (Boman Irani) if it is necessary for a dying patient to complete hospital paperwork.
All the teasers and trailer show Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the lead in Sanju, delivering a flawless act. However, the voice in this promo seems to be Dutt's. If at all it is Kapoor's, he has a done a stellar job at mimicking Dutt.
It may be recalled that during the teaser launch of Sanju, Dutt, who was shooting abroad for Torbaaz, had sent a pre-recorded message for the team. In the end, Dutt was heard cheekily telling Kapoor, “Bas Munna Bhai mat karna” (Don’t do Munna Bhai).
Sanju will be released on 29 June.
