Has Salman Khan's conviction in blackbucks case forced Bharat makers to cancel London shoot? 

Salman Khan's is soon to begin shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. The film traces the seven decades of India's Independence from 1947.

The first schedule of the shoot was to begin in London. However, reports suggest that the makers have dropped the idea of shooting in London, fearing that Khan may not get permission to travel to the European countries following his conviction in the 1998 blackbucks poaching case.

Producer Atul Agnihotri, who is also Khan’s brother-in-law, is said to be scouting for alternative locations. The United Arab Emirates seem to be on the top of the list.

Mid-Day, a tabloid, quoted a source saying, “There is a fair chance that Salman will not be allowed to enter the UK given his conviction in the case. He is currently out on bail, and has been permitted to perform in the US because the concerts had been announced beforehand. Bharat was to kick off in London, followed by stints in Spain, Poland and Portugal. But, it will be difficult for Salman to procure permission to shoot in any of the European countries for extended period of time. As a result, Zafar has only briefed the team about the first schedule that will be held in Punjab.”

Khan was sentenced to five years in jail by a Jodhpur court in the blackbucks poaching case in April this year. The actor is currently out on bail and the next hearing is set for 17 July. Interestingly, the shoot of Bharat is now scheduled to commence on the same date in Mumbai.

Before this, Khan will be on the Da-Bangg tour in America. The Race (2018) actor was permitted by the Jodhpur sessions and distrit courts.

Bharat is the official remake of Korean film Ode To My Father (2014) and is set to be released during Eid next year.
