Eid might have ended on Sunday (17 June), but Race 3 continues its run at the box-office. Remo D'Souza's film earned a decent Rs14 crore on its first Monday (18 June). This brings the net collection of the film to Rs114.94 crore approximately, according to boxofficeindia.com.
The film already hit Rs100.94 crore over the weekend, putting it above Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic Padmaavat (2018) as the biggest opening weekend for a Hindi film this year.
Race 3 made Rs36.25 and Rs37 crore on Saturday (16 June) and Sunday, after its Rs27.69 crore opening on Friday (15 June). However, its Monday collections saw a slight drop as the film only managed Rs14 crore approximately by day end.
This drop could be attributed to the end of the Eid weekend, and the masses returning to work. However, it has already beaten Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 to post the second highest first week returns this year.
The film has also done well in both, multiplex and single screens, across regions of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Bihar. While the collections might not feature the same numbers as the opening weekend, the film looks on course to beat Padmaavat's first week collections of Rs142 crore.
With the estimated budget of the film pegged at Rs80-90 crore, it has already turned over a marginal profit, and looks likely to bring in some more for the makers.
