Abhirup Ghosh wraps up Rohosyo Romancho Series shoot

Directed Abhirup Ghosh has wrapped up the shoot of his second film Rohosyo Romancho Series. The film is a tribute to the adventure, thriller stories of Bengal and pulp literature from around the world.

Priyanka Sarkar, Bishwanatha Basu, Kanchan Mullick, Rudranil Ghosh, Sayani Ghosh, Poulomi Das, Souman Bose and Jeena Tarafdar feature in three different stories in the film. Though it has three different plots from three different genres (crime, suspense and the super-natural), the film tells the tale of a single night.

In a stormy night, an employee of a restaurant, Sayani (Priyanka Sarkar), decides to shut the restaurant early. But a stranger stuck in the storm outside takes shelter. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the darkness and chaos, a notorious criminal, Psycho Sanyal, escapes from prison.

In the first story, actor Bishwanath, known for his comic roles, will be seen as a serious police officer who also ends up in the restaurant in the pursuit of the criminal on the run.

The second story surrounds Arjun (Souman Bose), who, in order to maintain his lavish lifestyle, takes the desperate step to help in a car theft led by Jhantu (Rudranil Ghosh). What he assumes to be a one-time experiment, leads up to a series of heists.

The third story revolves around gambler Saikat (Kanchan Mullick), famous for his luck at the game. However, the stormy night has something different in store. Saikat finds himself in an underground gambling den where the stakes are high. Actress Sayani plays an important character in this story.

The release date of Rohosyo Romancho Series is yet to be announced.
