Teasers of three films have been released today and they all have one thing in common — Salman Khan. The superstar appears in the teasers of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero and Sunny Deol-starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. Salman also unveiled the teaser of his home production, Loveratri.

Salman is not seen, but heard in the beginning of the trailer. Loveratri marks the debut of Salman's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, and the film will also introduce actress Warina Hussain.

The teaser begins with Salman narrating what the story is about. The superstar uses a line from the Lata Mangeskar and Shabbir Kumar’s classic song, 'Pyar Kiya Nahi Jata Ho Jata Hai' from Woh 7 Din (1983). The setting is the festival of Navratri that brings together the young protagonists (played by Sharma and Hussain). The title is a play on the words love and Navratri. The film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala.

The Hindu festival of Navratri is a nine-day extravaganza in honour of Goddess Durga and is characterised by celebrations with dance forms like dandiya and garba. The teaser is expectedly full of the two traditional dance forms. The Navratri track in Gujarati is a spinoff to the popular devotional track 'O Sheronwali' from Manmohan Desai’s Suhaag (1979).

While the verdict on their acting skills will be out once the film is released, there is no denying that Hussain and Sharma make for a mint fresh pairing. Minawala has carved an endearing teaser that is filled with colour, devotion, dance and love.

The teaser has been released with the original title, Loveratri. A few weeks back, the Hindu group Vishwa Hindu Parishad had objected to the title, as it felt it could hurt Hindu sentiments. A source close to the film told us that the makers would take a call closer to the film's release.

Loveratri will be out during this year's Navratri season, on 5 October.
