Dharmendra, Sunny, Bobby back with laughs in Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 posters

The teaser of Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se will be released tomorrow.

Actor John Abraham lifted a bike in Force (2011) and later a car in Force 2 (2016). Now, Sunny Deol is trying to go several notches higher. In his character poster from Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, the third film in the Yamla Pagla Deewana (YPD) series, the actor is seen pulling a tractor.

Sunny is known for his dialogue “Dhai kilo ka haath” [A hand weighing two-and-a-half kilos] from his film Damini (1993). In this poster, he is seen pulling a tractor with both his arms and shoulders. Looks like Sunny has progressed from two-and-a-half kilos to five kilos!

Sunny tweeted the picture introducing himself, with a reference to Shah Rukh Khan's famous dialogue, "Rahul, naam toh suna hi hoga" from the 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Like Sunny, brother Bobby Deol and father Dharmendra will also return to the new franchise. Their character posters have been released too. Bobby’s character is seen with an angry expression, holding a T-shirt with the words, ‘Get out of my house'. Dharmendra seems to be enjoying, as he sits happily on a cot.

The first part, directed by Samir Karnik, was received favourably at the box office, especially in Punjab. But the second one, which was helmed by Sangeeth Sivan, flopped. During this time, Dharmendra had said that they wouldn’t make another film in the franchise.

Clarifying the reason for still going ahead with the third film, Bobby had said last year during an interview for his film Poshter Boys, “At that time we were very disappointed because the film (YPD 2) didn’t shape up the way we wanted it to. And my dad just says what he feels. He was upset that we upset our fans by making a not-so-great film.”

Directed by Punjabi filmmaker Navaniat Singh, Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se will be released on the Independence Day (15 August).
