The actor was admitted to a private nursing home this morning due to severe stomach ache.

Actor Jisshu Sengupta was admitted to a private nursing home this morning due to severe stomach ache. The actor was later diagnosed with a gallbladder stone.

“Jisshu had this dreadful stomach ache in the morning, prompting us to immediately take him to a private nursing home, where he is undergoing tests. He has been diagnosed with a gallbladder stone, but the surgery will happen when the pain subsides,” his wife Nilanjana Sengupta told The Times Of India.

Nilanjana also stated that Jisshu has been a patient of gastritis for long. His recent irregular routine due to a busy schedule could have aggravated the problem. “You see he has been constantly travelling for various shoots in the last six months. The pain has subsided now, but the doctor won’t go ahead with the surgery until they have completed all the investigations,” added Nilanjana.

Jisshu was supposed to judge television reality show Dance Bangla Dance Junior. However, now actor Yash Dasgupta has been roped in to take his place for the next few episodes.

Jisshu was seen in Ghare And Baire and Uma this year and has already completed shooting for Manikarnika :The Queen Of Jhansi, Shonar Pahar and Ek Je Chhilo Raja. He also has important roles to play in Soumik Sen’s Mahalaya, and a few more films under the banner of Nideas.
