Box office — Toilet:Ek Prem Katha bags Rs69.85 crore in four days in China


The film, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, is enjoying a wide release with over 52,000 screenings in the Middle Kingdom.

Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) released in China on 8 June as Toilet Hero. The film got the fifth highest opening for an Indian film in China and earned Rs15.70 crore (gross) on day one.

Its performance improved slightly over the next three days and the total now stands at $10.36 million (approximately Rs69.85 crore), as reported by Entgroup.cn, China's entertainment news website.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, is enjoying a wide release with over 52,000 screenings in the Middle Kingdom. The film was made at an estimated budget of Rs70 crore and earned Rs132.07 crore nett in India.

The social drama film was inspired by the Swachh Bharat movement initiated by prime minister Narendra Modi.
