Though the reviews were not too flattering, Hollywood film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has enjoyed a good extended opening weekend. The fantasy drama made Rs37.25 crore nett in four days, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom had opened to a low Rs5.50 crore nett on 7 June, but it did well over the weekend. The Universal Pictures film improved to Rs7 crore nett on Friday, and it picked up on Saturday and Sunday, bagging Rs11.50 crore nett and Rs13.25 crore nett, respectively.
The film was released across more than 2,300 screens in India (all languages). A dispute over revenue sharing involving 3D glasses has seen the film not being released in 3D in India. The previous film in the franchise, Jurassic World (2015) had made Rs23 crore nett in four days, as reported by KoiMoi.com. That film though went on to bag over Rs90 crore nett in India. Indian actor Irrfan Khan was part of the 2015 film.
Come Friday, Salman Khan's Race 3 will be released and is likely to get over 4,000 screens.
