Srijit Mukherji's lyrics make the soul of Ahare Mon title track 'Monta Ahare'

Allusion to romance, dense nostalgia and subtle philosophies of life, all have been woven perfectly in Bengali sensibility.

'Monta Ahare', the title track of Pratim D Gupta’s upcoming film Ahare Mon has a soft music, composed by Neel Dutt, and the lyrics have been penned by filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.

The film has an interesting ensemble cast of Anjan Dutt, Mamata Shankar, Ritwick Chakraborty, Parno Mittra, Paoli Dam, Adil Hussain and Chitrangada Chakraborty.

The song captures the pristine moments of romance blooming between the characters. It turns into an audio-visual treat when it shows the dreamy world of Titli (Chitrangada) unfolding amidst surreal lights and colours with the symphony picking up its pace in the background.

The lyrics of 'Monta Ahare' contain an urban flavour and is rich in content. Allusion to romance, dense nostalgia and subtle philosophies of life, all have been woven perfectly in Bengali sensibility. Perhaps, to draw more attention to the lyrics, the composer has kept the tune of the song rather simple.

Durnibar Saha’s rendition could have sounded flat if the lyrics were not kept in focus. Mukherji’s words perfectly echo the feelings and warmth of emotions that each of the characters seem to be experiencing in the song.

Film Ahare Mon is the story of a bunch of characters who come across each other at unexpected junctures in life and cannot help but form beautiful bonds.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens on 22 June.
