Mukesh Chhabra's remake of The Fault In Our Stars titled Kizie Aur Manny

The first poster of the film, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghvi, was launched on the same day the film went on floors.

With a Rajnikanth mask hanging on the back of his head, actor Sushant Singh Rajput joined debut actress Sanjana Sanghi on the first poster of Mukesh Chabbra's remake of Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars. The remake is titled Kizzie Aur Manny, and goes on the floors today (9 July).

The poster looks sweet and starry, with the two lead artistes perched atop a decorated bus, with the oxygen tank alongisde Sanghi's character. Both will play terminally ill patients, who fall in love with each other.

The only standout is perhaps the Rajnikanth mask hanging off the back of Rajput's head. The original film, based on John Green's novel of the same name, had the female protagonist's obsession with a novelist. The mask is perhaps a role reversal with Rajput's character having an obsession with the Tamil star.

While the original film also had two uniquely named characters in Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), the Hindi version sees the names shortened with Kizie (Sanghi) and Manny (Rajput).

The crew has begun shooting the first schedule of the film in Jamshedpur and the film is expected to be ready to be released in 2019.

Kizzie Aur Manny will mark the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra, and is produced by Fox Star Studios.
