Happy Pill trailer: Is 'Happy Wala' a genius or a cheat?

The trailer of Mainak Bhaumik's upcoming film Happy Pill was launched on Thursday (5 July) in the presence of Rupa Dutta, producer at Camellia Productions Pvt Ltd, the director, and lead artistes Ritwick Chakraborty, Parno Mittra and Mir Afsar Ali.
The trailer offers a peek into the plot that features Siddhartha, who invents a pill for happiness.
Siddhartha, a meritorious medical student, believes that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance. With an unusual instinct for medicines, he invents a pill to cure sadness.
As soon as the pill is circulated in public, 'Happy Wala' becomes famous and attracts foes as well.
The trailer begins with Siddhartha questioning whether the creator of the Happy pill is a genius or a cheat.
Next it has 'Happy Wala' aka Siddhartha being covered by the press. A voiceover says, "When you are lost in the darkest alleys with nowhere to go, all hopes are lost, a revolution is born." This is followed by a series of sequences that offer glimpses of the frustrations of various characters.
Actor Chakraborty appears to be more than fit for the role, as he brings out the intelligence, wisdom and positivity in the character. Parno Mittra, too, suits the role of Siddhartha’s sister who suffers from an inferiority complex.
Sohini Sarkar plays a journalist who stands by 'Happy Wala' when he is being hunted by the police and the villains.

The music of the film has been composed by Savvy Gupta. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on 27 July.
