Earlier this week actor Mithun Chakraborty’s wife Yogeeta Bali and son Mahaakshay, a.k.a. Mimoh, were accused of rape, cheating and causing miscarriage without consent by a Delhi-based woman. The mother-son duo soon approached the Bombay high court seeking anticipatory bail. However, the court rejected the plea and asked them to approach the concerned court in Delhi.
Putting all these issues in the back-burner, Mahaakshay is set to marry actress Madalsa Sharma on Saturday (7 July).
Madalsa’s mother, Sheela Sharma, confirmed the news to Bombay Times, an entertainment daily. She also claimed that the complainant is creating trouble for Mahaakshay, who, according to her, had filed a complaint against her in the past.
“It’s [wedding] happening on 7 July. Mimoh met her [the complainant] in 2015 and we are aware of it. In fact, Mimoh had also filed a non-cognisable complaint against her for creating trouble in the past. Why has she resurfaced now, just a few days before the wedding? Why did she wait for so long to take action? Everybody has a past and we know the truth,” she said.
However, the complainant’s lawyer Neeraj Gupta believes Mahaakshay and his mother will be arrested before the wedding. “A case against Mimoh and Mrs Yogeeta Bali has been registered with Begumpur police station, New Delhi, under sections 376, 328, 313, 417, 506 of IPC [Indian Penal Code). An FIR has been lodged and we shall see that the accused are arrested before his wedding with another girl on July 7 in Ooty.
