Kajol made a comeback to films with the Tamil film Velai Illa Pattadhaari 22 (2017), opposite Tamil star Dhanush. The actress is now gearing for a Hindi film with director Pradeep Sarkar.

Kajol’s husband and producer Ajay Devgn unveiled the poster of the film. The first thing that catches your attention in the poster is the film's innovative title - Helicopter Eela. The term 'helicopter parent' refers to an over-protective parent who takes excessive interest his or her child's life.

While the actress is not featured in the poster, we see young actor Riddhi Sen attached to a string. Going by the quirky title and visuals in the poster, looks like Kajol's character will be named Eela, who controls her son's life.

With a tag line like ‘She’s here, she’s there, she’s everywhere’, Kajol is set to be an omnipresent figure in the film.

Helicopter Eela is based on Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play Beta Kaagdo that told the story of a woman who is too protective of her son, even after he has grown up. Devgn had bought the rights from Gandhi last year.

Sen is a rising talent in both Hindi and Bengali cinema. While he left his mark in Leena Yadav’s Parched (2016), he won the National award for Best Actor for his performance in Kaushik Ganguly's Nagarkirtan (2017).

Helicopter Eela is written by Mitesh Shah. the film is a co-production with Devgn and Jayanti Lal Gada at the forefront. Sarkar last directed the Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani in 2014.

Helicopter Eela is set to be released on 14 September.
