Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has been signed to play the role that actress Trisha Krishnan was initially supposed to play in director Hari’s Saamy Square. The film, also starring actor Vikram, is a sequel to hit film Saamy, that featured Trisha Krishnan and Vikram in lead roles.

A few months ago director Hari had announced the sequel adding that the cast would include Vikram, Keerthy Suresh and Trisha.

However, as work on the film began, news emerged that Trisha had walked out of the film due to some differences regrding her role.

In a post on her Twitter handle, the actress said she chose to quit the project due to 'creative differences'. “Due to creative differences, I have chosen to opt out of Saamy Square. Wishing the team goodluck,” she wrote.

Although Trisha announced that she had quit, the film’s unit insisted that she was a part of the project and tried to convince her to return. However, the makers later lodged a complaint against the actress with the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA), also known as the Nadigar Sangam.

The SIAA issued sent a notice to Trisha, seeking an explanation for her quitting Saamy Square. The actress replied to the SIAA and gave her reasons.

Now, after all the uncertainity, the team has atlast announced that actress Aishwarya will play the role that was earmarked for Trisha in Saamy Sqaure.
