Actress Sri Reddy has issued a cheeky reply to director-actor-choreographer-producer Raghava Lawrence's offer, saying, that he would be the 'loser', if she sat down 'for interrogation.'
It may be recalled that the actress has been levelling casting couch allegations against a number of male directors, actors and producers from the Telugu and Tamil film industries. The actress had, among others, named Raghava Lawrence too as one of those who had exploited her.
Raghava Lawrence, who had categorically denied her allegations, said that he was willing to offer the actress a role in his next movie, if she could prove her acting and dancing skills to him before the media.
The director, who claimed that he had immense respect for women and had therefore built a temple for his mother, had said, "I will keep [a] press meet, you [Reddy] also join the press meet. In front of all press people, I will give you a character and scene to act and give you some dance steps to dance... I will give you simple steps and dialogues, just the basic quality an actor should have. If you really have talent, act in front of me before the press. As a director, if I really feel you have talent, at that moment itself in front of [the] press, I will sign [you for] a good character in my next movie and give advance [sic]."
Lawrence's offer doesn't seem to have gone down well with Sri Reddy, who first put out a post on her Facebook that read, 'Better you don't pull it, till it get cut ..good for you..if I sit for interrogation, definitely you will be the loser..we can work in your movie if u are ok, I have my talent, I saw your talent..our combination adhurs.'
The actress then announced that she was taking up Lawrence's challenge and sought everyone's blessings. An hour later, she put up another post, this time with a YouTube video link in it. She wrote, 'Raghava Master garu, this is my sample of my talent..plz watch it..i did it only for u..my upcoming film dialogue..encounter specialist..only for 18+..abusive words part of the dialogue.. [sic]"
The video seems to have been made available only for a while, after which the user is believed to have removed it.
It remains to be seen what actor-director Raghava Lawrence's next move will be with regard to this response.
