51 years after the military clashes between India and China, filmmaker JP Dutta's feature film, Paltan, will give a fictional and human account of the events. The countries had two confrontations at the Sikkim border in September-October 1967, popularly known as the Nathu La and Cho La clashes.

In the run up towards its release on 7 September, the makers of the war film have released looks of its key cast members. First up is veteran actor Jackie Shroff who has previously worked with Dutta on films like Border (1997) and Refugee (2000).

Shroff's character poster shows him geared up to join the youngsters in a wool jacket. Earlier in the day, another poster of the actor where he looks visibly older was released and then taken down.

Next is actor Arjun Rampal who plays Lietenant Colonel Rai Singh in the film. The actor is armed and ready for battle in this poster.

Actor Sonu Sood, who celebrated his birthday yesterday (30 July), is sporting a moustache in his character poster.

Actor Siddhant Kapoor is an army officer in Paltan and followed a strict fitness regime to train for his role.

Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, whose father served in the army, is also playing an army officer in the film. His poster captures his character's grit and determination.

A turbaned Harshvardhan Rane holds a weapon in this character poster. He replaced Abhishek Bachchan in the ensemble film.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha announced her brother Luv Sinha's character poster and stated, "THIS is my brother and he's a hero!". Like the other cast members of Paltan, Luv looks primed for action.

Paltan was shot extensively in Ladakh where the Nathu La pass was recreated for the film.
