Marathi cinema is increasingly trying out new themes with films like Sandeep Modi's Chumbak, Rohan Deshpande's Pipsi, among others. Girish Joshi’s Take Care Good Night is another such presentation. The film starring Sachin Khedekar, Iravati Harshe, Parna Pethe, and Adinath Kothare, is a suspense thriller wherein the protagonists are being hounded by a psychotic stalker.
The teaser mentions that the film is based on a real-life incident. The film revolves around a modern family, consisting of a daughter (Pethe) and her parents (Khedekar and Harshe). The story is narrated by Khedekar’s character in what looks like seminar.
Reportedly, the film is based on cyber crime. The family faces an upheaval after a mysterious man begins stalking the daughter online. How they cope with the situation seems to be the rest of the plot.
Even though the face of the stalker is blurred in the teaser, it is clear that he is Kothare.
The film appears to be a promising thriller. The teaser is crisp and helps generate interest for the film. It also features Mahesh Manjrekar, who is producing the film with Himanshu Kesari Patil.
Take Care Good Night will be released on 31 August.
