The current craze for biopics is not limited to the big screen. The digital space in Hindi saw a biopic web-series on freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose titled Bose: Dead / Alive.

Directed by Pulkit, the web-series had Rajkummar Rao playing the titular role. The actor was much appreciated in the role of the late leader.

Rajkummar Rao has now revealed that the makers of Bose: Dead / Alive are thinking of a second season for the web-series, but he is unable to commit to the project at the moment.

“I need to take out at least six months [because] to shave my head again will take time,” Rajkummar Rao explained.

The Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) star has been seen in two other biopics so far — Shahid (2013) and Omerta (2017). Asked whether he would ever like to be in a mainstream commercial biopic like the recent one on Sanjay Dutt, titled Sanju (2018), he cheekily replied, “Basically the ones with songs?”

On a more serious note, he said, “I don’t mind. I loved Sanju. I really liked Ranbir [Kapoor]’s work in it. Yes, if somebody offers me a film which really excites me as an actor [why not?]. When I read a script, I don’t really see how many songs are there. I see if the story is exciting enough for me to say yes.”
