Box office: Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 makes only Rs4.40 crore in first weekend

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 opened with a poor number on Friday (27 July). The earnings of the film, starring Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Sheirgill, Chitrangda Singh and Mahie Gill, showed no growth during weekend either.
After earning Rs1.25 crore on Friday, the film only managed Rs1.50 crore and Rs1.65 crore on Saturday (28 July) and Sunday (29 July), respectively, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.
As per trade sources, the film is made at an estimated budget of Rs30 crore. With the current total at Rs4.40 crore, the film is staring at a huge defeat.
The earnings are not expected improve during the week. Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 might end up being the lowest grosser in the franchise.
Meanwhile, Hollywood action thriller, Mission: Impossible — Fallout, the sixth movie in the franchise, is doing quite well in India. In the first three days at the Indian box office, the film, starring Tom Cruise, has earned Rs36.25 crore. Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol, the fifth film in the franchise, did a lifetime business of Rs55 crore in India.
