Five years ago, the gang of friends in Go Goa Gone (2013) teamed with zombie slayer Boris (Saif Ali Khan) to save themselves from the zombies in Goa. However, while they managed to escape alive, the zombies were still out there. Looks like actors Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari will be coming back together to take on the zombies in the sequel of Go Goa Gone.
The actors, along with co-directors Krishna DK and Nidimoru, shared a photograph of themselves on social media indicating the sequel will soon go in production. They are all posing in the classic ‘think’ pose. Kemmu captioned his post, “What do we know, what have we learned and when do we shoot #gogoagone2”.
While Das asked his followers if there were “2 excited” for the sequel.

This June, writer-director Nidimoru told Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, that plans for the sequel are underway and the film's shoot will begin in February 2019.
“It’s been five years since the first film, so we will play with the timeline now. DK and I are brainstorming on how to explore the five-year gap between both films. We are bringing Saif back as Boris, the zombie slayer, but will be adding an extra element to the character. We are retaining the entire cast as they were the core of the film, be it humour, camaraderie or bromance,” he added.
While Saif Ali Khan’s character, Boris, is slated to return, the actor is absent in the picture.
Go Goa Gone, produced by Khan, Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla, was called India’s first ‘zom-com’ and managed find an audience for itself.
Nidimoru and Krishna DK are also writing and producing the upcoming horror-comedy Stree, starring Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Their last film as co-directors, A Gentleman (2017), starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, didn’t do well at the box office.
