The musical chair of release date seems to be in full flow. After the decision of Helicopter Eela's makers to advance the release of the Kajol starrer by a week, another film has been advanced. Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan will now be released on the day vacated by Helicopter Eela. Kashyap's film which stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan will hit the screens on 14 September.

July-December preview: Films to look out for in second half of 2018

The announcement was made by the producers, Eros International and Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Films. The shoot for the film was wrapped up in April, with Pannu, Bachchan and Kaushal completing their schedules.

The film was initially scheduled to be released on 21 September, alongside the Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor-Yami Gautam-starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu. However, with Helicopter Eela moving a week ahead, the makers of Manmarziyaan have capitalised on the opportunity.

The film is reportedly a complex love triangle between the three artistes. The film's very rooted and Indian looks have also caught the attention, with the Sikh look of Bachchan receiving some praise from his own father, Amitabh Bachchan.
