Watch: Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim prep for Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink

Actress Priyanka Chopra may have backed out of Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat (2019) with Salman Khan for personal reasons, but it looks like she's committed to finishing the other Hindi film project she signed on. Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink stars Farhan Akhtar, Chopra and Zaira Wasim and is co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala's production companies.

Roy Kapur Films released a new video on Twitter taking audiences behind the scenes of what's to come in the film. 

The brief 30-second video opens with stars Chopra and Akhtar arriving at Bandra's Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. The two are then shown indoors meeting with stylists and designers and makeup artistes with writer-director Bose and producers Roy Kapur and Screwvala. The group is seen in quick group shots where they are animated in conversation. 

Akhtar and Chopra are actively involved in the shaping of their characters and their looks as clothes are being stitched in front of them and they themselves are picking out outfits for the film. Former heads of UTV, Roy Kapur and Screwvala are also hands-on producers involved from the pre-production of the film and being present on set. 

Besides their costumes, the artistes have filmed certain scenes and been photographed as well. And judging from their smiling faces from the end of the video, it looks like there was a consensus on something.

The family drama, The Sky Is Pink, is based on the real-life story of a young girl, Aisha Chaudhary, who was diagnosed with an immune deficiency disorder when she was young. Since then, she became a motivational speaker and authored the book, My Little Epiphanies. She died at the age of 18. 

Secret Superstar (2017) actress Zaira Wasim will essay the role of Aisha, while Chopra and Akhtar will play her parents, Aditi and Niren.
