Late actress Sridevi's daughter Janvhi Kapoor made a successful debut with Dharma Productions's Dhadak (2018) that hit the screens on 20 July.

Sridevi's husband, producer Boney Kapoor and his family has had to endure a tough period after Sridevi accidently drowned in the bathtub of a hotel in Dubai early this year. The tragedy saw Boney's two children from his first marriage, son Arjun and daughter Anshula, rally around their father and step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi.

While the loss is insurmountable, Boney is relieved that the tragedy has brought the family together.

In an interview to film website, Spotboye.com, Boney was asked if he is at peace now following the coming together of the four siblings. “I am blessed to have these four. They love each other a lot and I am glad that they have come together. It was due to happen any time, it just happened when something unfortunate happened. They are all my blood and they had to come around," Boney said, before crediting Arjun for bringing them together.

“I give credit to all four, but yes, more to Arjun because he is the eldest. He flew in to Dubai to be with me. Anshula was in Mumbai with Janhvi and Khushi. They have happened [born] through two different mothers but why should they get affected? They need their father now, and I am going to be around them,” Boney added.

While Arjun has played the big brother during the tragic times, he and Anshula were not close to their step mom Sridevi in the past. In 2017, The Express Tribune had quoted Arjun as saying to Yahoo.com, “We [Anshula and him] don’t really meet and spend time together so it doesn’t really exist.”

The bitter past was all forgotten in the hour of grief and Arjun had even posted a heartfelt tweet.

“Me & @anshulakapoor represent our mother every single second we live...she would expect us to have been standing next to our father no matter what n be there for Janhvi & Khushi," Arjun had mentioned in a tweet while replying to a blogger.

Earlier, while speaking to Hindustan Times, a daily, Janhvi had thanked Arjun and Anshula for their support.

“The only reason we can stand strong after whatever happened is because of the kind of love and support Arjun bhaiyya and Anshula didi have been giving us. It’s a family dynamic that I relish. I am very thankful for them. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother and a better sister. They have given us a lot of strength. He is a very wise man and has given tips like, ‘just be honest, be yourself and be respectful towards people.’ Somehow, when he says it, I take it like the gospel truth.” Janhvi had said.

After Srdevi's death, Arjun and Anhsula have been spending considerable time with their siblnigs. Though Arjun couldn't be there for the screening of Janhvi's debut film, Dhadak, he posted a series of tweets wishing her well.

The family is united and are looking forward to the future. After Janhvi, perhaps Khushi's turn to make her film debut. In an interview earlier, Boney had dropped a hint that his youngest daughter is also interested in acting in films.

“Khushi first wanted to become a model, but has now shifted her focus to becoming an actress,” Boney said in the interview to Spotboye.com.

If Khushi decides to join films, then she sure has plenty of people to look up to in her family for inspirations.
