Dhadak is the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Sairat (2016) directed by Nagraj Manjule.

The film had opened at Rs8.50 crore on Friday. The drop on Monday was 35-40% which is encouraging since the opening day was good, considering the film has two newcomers. As per Boxofficeindia.com, apart from the metros, Dhadak has found acceptance even in the smaller centres of India.
Adding yesterday’s number to the Rs33 crore it earned in the first weekend, the grand total of Dhadak stands at Rs38.35 crore in the first four days. As per our trade sources, the film is made at a cost of Rs40 crore. Hence, it is expected to be a safe bet for the producers. If this happens, it will be yet another hit of 2018.

Dhadak has no competition from the Hindi market this week. But Tom Cruise-starrer Hollywood movie Mission: Impossible — Fallout is hitting the screens on Friday. It remains to be seen if this has any effect on the numbers of Dhadak.
