Actors Shreyas Talpade and Chunky Pandey have been a part of the Housefull franchise along with many other actors. Now, the two have teamed up for another comic project. This time it’s a web-series called Baby Come Naa by Ekta Kapoor’s digital platform Alt Balaji.
Interestingly, the series will be directed by Farhad Samji, one half of the writer-director duo Sajid-Farhad. The two had written the first two Houseful movies and written and directed the third one. This is the first time that Farhad is going solo.
Baby Come Naa is based on Paritosh Painter’s hit bilingual Hindi-English play Double Trouble. The play is about a divorcee who tries to juggle a relationship with two women.
The series marks the comeback of Shefali Zariwala. She is still known as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, who rose to fame in 2002 when she appeared in the video of the remix of that song. Following this, she appeared in few reality shows and made appearances in David Dhawan’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and the Kannada movie Hudugaru (2011). Baby Come Naa will be her first full fledged role as a character.
Baby Come Naa also stars Manasi Scott.
This web show joins the list of 22 online shows by Alt Balaji. Some of the popular ones include Bose: Dead/Alive, The Test Case, Haq Se, Gandi Baat, Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat, etc.
