Actor Sumeet Vyas is having a positive year so far. Shashanka Ghosh’s Veerey Di Wedding (2018), featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, gave him a commercial hit. On the other hand, Love Per Square Foot (2018), which he co-wrote with Anand Tiwari, received accolades after it was released online recently.
Now, Vyas is all set to take the plunge in feature film writing with a light-hearted film. “I have been toying with a couple of ideas for a while now and finally have zeroed down one that I’m most kicked about. I’ll start working on it this year and hopefully by next year it’ll make sense. I’m a little unforgiving, as far as my scripts are concerned, which is why it takes longer than usual, but it’ll be a credible script to say the least,” Vyas told news agency IANS.
His film will be a take on a father and son relationship. “It’s a story about jealousy between a father and son, a humorous take on how competitiveness in a family can screw things up,” he added.
But he hasn’t thought about the actors till now. “To be very honest, I haven’t thought of the cast yet. The story is in my head right now. It needs to come on paper,” said Vyas.
Vyas is also known for acting in web series like The Permanent Roommates, It’s Not That Simple and Tripling. He also starred alongside Kalki Koechlin last year in the feature film Ribbon.
