A faake tweet was attributed to actress Swara Bhasker on Twitter yet again. A Twitter user with the handle @pokershash picked one of the actress' recent tweets and linked it to a recent incident where a man hit a woman during a debate on a television show.

The fake tweet read, “This is what hate looks like. The wise and always open to dialogue a Muslim Lawyer attacked by so called Maulana of Muslims. She is 60 years old. This is HEARTBREAKING. Along with ALL the halala this too is on u @INCIndia.”

The fake tweet is a rehash of Bhasker’s recent tweet where she condemned the assault of Swami Agnivesh allegedly by a group of right wing goons.

Her original tweet was: “This is what hate looks like. The wise and always open to dialogue HINDU humanist #SwamiAgnivesh attacked by so called defenders of Hinduism. He is 80 years old. This is HEARTBREAKING. Along with ALL the lynching deaths this too is on u @BJP4India.”

Bhasker pointed out the fake tweet and wrote, “My original tweet. (On left about Swami Agnivesh being attacked) and the Fake News Factory adapting it.. to the Slapgate issue..  guys u are SO creative!”

Later, the user who had created the tweet deleted the fake post. However, he condemned her, writing, “Everyone knows that it’s fake coz you just can’t condemn violence on a woman by a muslim. It’s funny that your idea of women empowerment is limited only to pathbreaking.”

Bhasker is repeatedly targeted on the social media for being critical of the ruling party.

In April this year, a Twitter user with the handle @kunthavi5 shared an image of a fake tweet in which Bhasker is supposedly talking about getting a mail from a media company for a promotional tweet. The user has still not deleted the tweet.
