Actor Allu Sirish, who was signed up for an important role in director KV Anand’s upcoming film with Suriya, has suddenly announced that he has pulled out of the project.
The project is of great significance for it is believed to be the costliest film in Suriya’s career so far. The film, which is being produced by Lyca Productions, also features Mohanlal, Boman Irani and Samuthirakani in important roles.
Allu Sirish has said that the dates he had allotted for this film were clashing with the dates of his other film ABCD and has cited that as the reason for pulling out of the project. However, the actor’s excuse has raised eyebrows as the unit has already completed one schedule. It may be recalled that the film went on floors in London.
The actor took to social media to make the announcement.
He posted a picture of his statement on Twitter.
The statement read, “Hello everyone. This is to let you all know about my part in #Suriya37. My dates required film was clashing with my other film ABCD. The shoot dates could not be rescheduled because logistics involved. Keeping in mind the best interest of both the films, I volunteered to step down from the role. And the director KV Anand sir too has understood the issue and accepted my decision.
“I was really looking forward to being a part of this film, but will have to let go. I thank KV sir, Suriya sir and Lyca Productions for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this project. My best wishes always to the whole team. Hoping to work with this beautiful team sometime in the future.”
