Actress Kangana Ranaut won her second National Award for Queen (2014), largely in part for her endearing portrayal of jilted bride Rani who travels solo to Europe for what was to be her honeymoon. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the award-winning film was shot in Paris and Amsterdam. By next year, there will be four remakes of Queen shot in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.

Actress Parul Yadav, who is also the co-producer on all four remakes, announced yesterday that the films completed their shooting at the European locations. She shared a photograph of herself at the Eiffel Tower and wrote, "So happy to finish the European leg all 4 #queenremakes. The Eiffel is a perfect symbol of how impossibly difficult this project was and how grand it can be!!" Yadav is starring in Ranaut's role in the Kannada version.

Here's what we know so far about the four films being remade in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. They are titled Paris Paris, Butterfly, That Is Mahalakshmi and Zam Zam, respectively.

The Tamil remake is being helmed by Ramesh Aravind. Actress Kajal Aggarwal is stepping in to the role of Rani, played by Ranaut. Actor Varun Shashi Rao and actress Elli Avram are also in the film. Avram will likely play the role of Vijayalakshmi, played by Lisa Haydon in the original.

Butterfly (Kannada)

Director Ramesh Aravind is back on board for the Kannada remake as well. Actor Varun Shashi Rao and actress Elli Avram will also be a part of this production. According to actress-producer Parul Yadav's Instagram page, it looks like the Kannada film will be filmed in Greece, a location not used in Queen (2014).

That Is Mahalakshmi (Telugu)

In the Telugu version, Tamannaah is the title character Mahalakshmi aka Rani from Queen. Prasanth Varma is directing the remake while Sanjay Swaroop, Jagapathi Babu and Priyadarshi Pullikonda will be a part of the cast. Shibani Dandekar, who is also in the film, seems like she is dressed to play Vijayalakshmi, the half-Indian, half-French young woman in Queen.

Zam Zam (Malayalam)

For the Malayalam remake, actress Manjima Mohan is the lead. It is unclear the director and other cast members of the project, however, Manjima shared a photograph of herself at a location with Dandekar, indicating that the actress will reprise her role in the Telugu and Malayalam version.

All four films are based on writer-director's Bahl's story and the music will by Amit Trivedi. The Tamil, Kannada and Telugu versions are all shot by cinematographer Sathya Hegde. There is no word so far on when these four remakes will be released.
