Rajini Makkal Mandram, the movement which actor Rajinikanth hopes to later convert into his political party, has issued an official communication trashing rumours doing the rounds that Rajinikanth has expelled former creative director of Lyca, Raju Mahalingam, from being an office-bearer in the movement.

Earlier today, news began doing the rounds that Rajinikanth had met and expelled Raju, the man who gave up his position as creative director in Lyca to join Rajinikanth’s political movement. Rajinikanth, it was said, had confronted Raju for allegedly misappropriating Mandram funds.

There were also rumours about how Rajinikanth had instructed his office-bearers not to have any ‘truck’ with Raju and that he had told Raju never to meet him ever again.

However, soon after these rumours began doing the rounds, the Rajini Makkal Mandram issued a clarification saying that they were baseless.

In a statement, Rajini Makkal Mandram head VM Sudhakar said, “There are rumours on social media suggesting that Raju Mahalingam has been expelled from the Rajini Makkal Mandram. As this news is false, we request you all not to believe this information.”
